But in recent months, that stability was shattered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the administration of a contaminated supplement, Kayan\u2019s condition rapidly deteriorated, pushing him into end-stage renal failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, time is running out. Doctors estimate Kayan has less than two years to live without a transplant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the NHS kidney transplant waiting list currently spans up to three years &#8211; longer than Kayan can afford to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Kayan\u2019s health decline has been devastating,&#8221; says his mother. \u201cHe\u2019s constantly fatigued, in and out of hospital, and enduring intensive treatments that no child should have to face.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In response, the family has launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/5w5uss-life-saving-kidney-transplant?attribution_id=sl:2dc70369-25b1-4f1f-977d-c38e49fab41d&amp;lang=en_GB&amp;utm_campaign=pd_ss_icons&amp;utm_content=amp13_c-amp14_t2&amp;utm_medium=customer&amp;utm_source=whatsapp\">emergency fundraising campaign<\/a> to seek a private kidney transplant, with the goal of raising \u00a370,000 to cover the surgery and essential aftercare. The cost includes \u00a342,000 for the procedure and an additional \u00a36,700 annually for ongoing post-operative care.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis transplant is not just a procedure &#8211; it\u2019s a lifeline,\u201d his parents share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe just want Kayan to have a chance.
