class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An oncology director has set her sights on new heights as she prepares to climb one of the world\u2019s most dangerous mountains, K2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bradford-based Tasneem Habib is stepping out on possibly her greatest ever challenge \u2013 climbing the world\u2019s second highest mountain, the K2 Base Camp.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The Global Oncology Director for AstraZeneca, continues her fundraising quest in aid of the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her challenge won\u2019t just be the trek either as she has set herself the target to raise \u00a35,000 in sponsorship money for her July 2023 trek.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tasneem\u2019s 16-day trek will see temperatures drop from 30 degrees to a bitter -10 degrees, eight-hours of trekking per day, with an average elevation gain of 320 metres on tough terrain with rough stones and crevasses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><br>\u00a0<br>Tasneem has been on a mission to raise funds for the charity for a number of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her dare-devil activities have included: completing the Everest base camp trek, Skydiving at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, reaching Killer Mountain\u2019s base camp, tackling the gruelling Rush Peak and completing the World\u2019s Longest Zip Line (Ras Al Khaimah, UAE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/tasneem-habib-2_23-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46333\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tasneem says: \u201cThe pandemic gave me a break and allowed for me to enjoy some of UK\u2019s beautiful countryside and peaks &#8211; Ben Nevis and Snowdon.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>\u201cRecruiting locals and your loved ones to support the charity brings immense satisfaction, and I have managed to convince my husband Imran Ishaq to join me this time round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTraining is fun and motivating when there\u2019s two of you and we are racing to see who will get to their fundraising target first!<br>\u00a0<br>\u201cWe will also be sleeping in ice at Baltoro Glacier, all of which will make this trek one of the gruelling challenges I have completed so far,\u201d she adds.\u00a0\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) is the UK face of Pakistan\u2019s Shaukat Khanum Hospital, which offers free cancer treatment to patients who can\u2019t afford it.\u00a0Established in 1994, it was a first in Pakistan as a comprehensive care facility dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.\u00a0\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Tasneem adds: \u201cIf you would
