I am grateful to Hazrat Sahibzada Sufi Shiraz Sahib for all of their support and providing eligible vital beneficiaries details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was profoundly saddening to hear of the struggles of the people. Just to give you an example, local labourers earn around Rs.1,000 a day (\u00a34.50), and two-litres of oil costs Rs.860 (just under \u00a34) &#8211; so a person would spend their daily wage which would be equivalent to purchasing two-litres of oil!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a short two-week self-funded trip since I work as a careers adviser at three inner city Bradford secondary schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I self-fund all my charitable initiatives paying for my flights and hotel expenses so that 100% of donations go to the stated charitable causes, taking annual leave from my work so that I can go on my humanitarian aid trips around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I had originally set out to raise \u00a32,500, but thanks to the generosity of my donors, finished at an amazing \u00a315,025 &#8211; enough for 601 live goats to be given to families in Malawi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/2021\/09\/limitless-charity-champ-smashes-fundraising-target-in-memory-of-friends-son-who-succumbed-to-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I ran the Great North Run in loving memory of nine-year old Mohammed Haider Rasab <\/a>who sadly died from cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My original target was to raise \u00a32,500 so that I could provide 100 live goats to poor families in poverty-stricken Malawi so that the goats can be used to provide nutritious milk, breeding and eventually families could benefit from their meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have recently completed this project having raised a staggering \u00a315,025 for 601 live goats, which were provided to 16 poverty-stricken villages during 14 distributions via with Keighley-based Green Crescent Aid UK charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/NAZIM-ALI-MALAWI-GOAT-2022_22-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44460\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/NAZIM-ALI-MALAWI-GOAT-2022_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44460\" class=\"wp-image-44460\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/nazim-ali-goat-appeal-2_22-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44459\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/nazim-ali-goat-appeal-2_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44459\" class=\"wp-image-44459\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-Distributed-2_22-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44458\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-Distributed-2_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44458\" class=\"wp-image-44458\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-Distributed-1_22-1024x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44457\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-Distributed-1_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44457\" class=\"wp-image-44457\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-3_22-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44456\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Malawi-Goats-3_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44456\" class=\"wp-image-44456\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/nazin-ali-goat-appeal-3_22-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"44462\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/nazin-ali-goat-appeal-3_22.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.asianexpress.co.uk\/?attachment_id=44462\" class=\"wp-image-44462\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I provided full video feedback on my social channels, including special individual videos for those who requested them. As you can imagine this was a big logistical operation which I successfully completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have now single-handedly raised almost \u00a3475,000 for a plethora of causes both home and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God willing with my upcoming 9th Annual Ramadan 10K Run I will reach the \u00a3500,000 mark!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have also been invited to the Queen\u2019s Garden Party in May 2022 in recognition of my community and charity work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Covid-19 period I have continued to volunteer at the weekly Thursday Curry Circle Food Provision for the homeless and needy at Manningham Library, as well as my five-times a year &#8216;Creating Smiles Gifts Initiative&#8217; providing gifts to poorly children in hospitals children\u2019s wards across Yorkshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There has certainly been no let up from my end, if anything I have increased my fundraising and community work as more people than ever need help and support.
