True to the world he has been building around the release, the song looks at the people and spaces around us and how much of who we are can be shaped by them without us even realising it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Punjabi, <strong>\u2018Assay Passay\u2019<\/strong> refers to one&#8217;s surroundings. But for <strong>Talwiinder<\/strong>, the idea goes beyond what exists around you. The song explores how the people we spend time with can slowly mould the way we speak, behave, think and even see ourselves. Sometimes, that influence is so gradual that by the time you notice it, the person you once knew feels almost unfamiliar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking about <strong><em>Assay Passay<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Paiinted Feeliings<\/em><\/strong>, <strong>Talwiinder<\/strong> says, <em>\u201cWe made \u2018Assay Passay\u2019 during a freestyle session at a friend\u2019s house on a rainy day. It wasn\u2019t planned at all. As we kept working on it, this thought about how much the people around us can change us just stayed with me. Sometimes you don\u2019t even notice that you\u2019re becoming a different version of yourself. I think we all experience emotions that are difficult to explain or put into words, and Paiinted Feeliings came from that space for me, with each song capturing a different feeling, memory or moment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Written, composed and performed by <strong>Talwiinder<\/strong>, <em>\u201cAssay Passay\u201d <\/em>is produced by <strong>Dropped Out<\/strong> and mixed and mastered by <strong>NDS<\/strong>.
